Does anyone know if the ILM model of this got lost along with the other Jap props or is it out there somewhere still?

I don't think there's a model available now. I remember looking up the model BMW in model kits and coming across a pro model builder inquiring about 76-79(i can't remember the exact year the bttf bmw is) bmw kits... and he said something along the lines of it being a special surprise project. I can't imagine there being anything else significant about those year bmws except maybe a james bond movie.

Yeah, ILM made a very cool model of it for effects use.

I guess it disappeared after the prop exhibit along with all the other props :(

can the wheels not turn left/right with those things next to the tires? is that why you don't have them on in your signature photo? something i always wondered about but always forget to ask
