In 1984, Kevin Pike and his company FILMTRIX, INC were commissioned by UNIVERSAL STUDIOS to build the vehicles for the Robert Zemeckis film Back to the Future. After several months and many design phases, three DeLorean cars were purchased, cut apart and retrofitted into Time Machines by Kevin and his team. Once complete, they rolled out ready to be photography. The rest is history...
Seeing the film at an early age, it was easy to become fascinated with the mobile movie star, dreaming of someday owning it. A decade or so later, the fans were older and the internet was abuzz. People actually began making their own versions of this marvelous machine. Seeing people do this proved that owning the BTTF Time Machine could actually be a reality....
